Easy, Do It in an Evening, Bolero

This is such an easy pattern. There's some problems with how it's written that I'm still figuring out. This is the second time I've done this pattern now. The first time looked like this: St. Patty's Day Shrug I'm getting closer to having it spot on. The only thing I did differently this time is knit it all with size 15 needles (pattern called for you to switch to a 10.5 needle every so often). The only thing I would suggest for next time is to add more stitches to the co of the two front triangles. They need to be just a smidgen larger to fit around 'the girls.'

The Bathing Suit Cover That Fell too short

Why do patterns always fall short? They appear to be the right length on the models always. Are those models petite? Every pattern I've always just added on a few inches to the bottom of the piece. This one I did just that and it still is too short to even be considered for a bathing suit cover. It makes a great longer top though!

Gradiant Bolero

Had some leftover yarn from a few 1 pound skeins a coworker bought which I created two neck cowls, a hat, and this bolero out of. It's a lighter yarn with some texture. Makes a great weight for a light sweater. Or a really thick warm piece by doubling up the yarn.

Ribbed Hat Scarf Set

Found some new yarn from Michael's: Loops & ThreadsTM CharismaTM Yarn. It's a bulky category 5 weight yarn similar to Lionbrand's Wool-Ease® Chunky Wool-Ease® Chunky Yarn and cheaper without the itchy wool ($3.99 versus $6.99).

Pooh, Tigger, Piglet Baby Hat Set

A while back, I made a Pooh blanket for a friend's wife. They're officially pregnant in in month four of the pregnancy. I wanted to continue with the Winnie the Pooh theme by creating some baby hats with each character. They have their baby shower in late August, so I'll probably give these to them then. Hope they like! They were fun and easy to do.
