Christmas Wine Bottle Cozy

Quick and simple to create! Change up the colors to fit any occasion. Add decorative ribbon, gift tags, or other accessories to the neck of the bottle.

Materials
Knitting Needle: US 9
Crochet Hook: 6.5mm
Yarn: Category Weight 4

Bottle Sleeve

1. Cast on 35 stitches
2. Knit stockinette stitch for 10 inches while rotating color yarns every six rows for stripes
3. For three rows, *knit 4, knit 2 together, repeat from *
4. Continue stockinette stitch for three inches and bind off.
5. Close up seem on side up to the neck of the cozy. Here you can either opt for an easy corset like closing choice or do your own version with something like a button

Bottle Sleeve Bottom - crochet with 6.5mm hook

1. CR1: Ch 2 and slip stitch into first chain
2. CR2: Chain 3, 6 dc in 2nd chain loop and slip st into third loop of chain
3. CR3: Chain 3, 2 dc in each stitch from last round (12 sts)
4. CR4: Chain 3, *dc in next stitch, then 2 dc in the next st after that (repeat from * to end of round), and slip st into 3rd chain from begining of round (18sts)
5. CSew up bottom to main sleeve of wine cozy
